There are stories we tell the world… and then there are the untold chapters. This is one of mine

🌱 My Emotional Healing Journey Is Changing Me

Healing looks good on me… and I’m finally becoming the woman I prayed for šŸ’š

Good afternoon, my beautiful readers…

Today has been a relaxing day for me, but yesterday?
Y’all… it was one of the busiest, eye-opening days I’ve had in a long time.

And sitting here thinking about it, I realized something…

My emotional healing journey is really happening.
Not just in my mind… but in my life.

When I moved to Warren back in April 2024, I didn’t really know what I was doing. I was just trying to figure life out… trying to find something to do… trying to find me again.

🌸 Emotional Healing Journey: When God Sends the Right People

God has a funny way of placing people in your life right when you need them.

Miss Simmons came into my life, and I’m so thankful for her.

She picked me and my husband up, and we ended up going to McDonald’s first, just talking, just enjoying the moment. Then she said, ā€œLet me take y’all by my church.ā€

I didn’t even know that small ā€œyesā€ would turn into something so much bigger.

🌿 Storytime: The Day Everything Shifted for Me

After we visited her church, she took us somewhere I had no idea existed…

The Warren Community Center.

Y’all…

I was amazed.

I’m talking about:

  • Fitness center
  • Classes
  • Garden programs 🌱
  • And a whole library šŸ“š

And me being a reader, a writer, and a poet?
I was like… God, this is for me.

I literally stood there like,
ā€œGirl… where have you been all this time?ā€

It made me realize I’ve been craving more than just staying in the house. I want to live, explore, grow, and enjoy life again.

🌼 Emotional Healing Journey: Choosing Me Again

I’m down to my last two classes, and I graduate May 23rd šŸŽ“

I have an opportunity lined up in teaching, and I’m just… ready.

Ready to:

  • Work
  • Grow
  • Try new things
  • Step into new environments

This year, I told myself something real:

šŸ‘‰ I’m choosing ME.

And I’ve been doing just that.

I started:

  • Playing guitar šŸŽø
  • Growing my own food 🌱
  • Creating my own juices šŸ“
  • Reading nonstop
  • Writing and building my blog

And now stepping into my purpose with Sassy’s Healing Space.

🌺 Sassy’s Healing Space: Turning Pain Into Purpose

My business, Sassy’s Healing Space, is now live on Google.

And that means everything to me.

Because there was a time I didn’t even recognize myself.

Now I’m:

  • Helping others heal
  • Planning healthier lifestyles
  • Creating safe spaces for growth

Miss Simmons became my first client, and I’m so grateful.

We’re about to:

  • Meditate
  • Work out
  • Garden
  • Ride bikes
  • Heal together

And that right there… that’s purpose.

🌿 Embracing My Emotional Healing Journey Through My Loc Journey

And y’all… this part right here?

It’s personal.

Today, I started something new.

I’m beginning my loc journey šŸ’š

I’m sitting here braiding my hair into micro braids, taking my time, being patient with myself… and it feels deeper than just doing my hair.

This is part of my emotional healing journey.

Because every braid feels like I’m letting go of the old version of me…
Every section feels like I’m stepping into a stronger version of myself.

Last year was hard. My hair was falling out, and that hurt me more than people probably understand.

But look at God…

He didn’t just heal me…
He restored me.

My hair is growing back thicker, stronger, healthier—and now I’m locking it up, embracing this journey fully.

This isn’t just about hair.

This is about:

  • Growth
  • Patience
  • Healing
  • Becoming

And I can’t wait to see who I become.

šŸŒ§ļø Healing Through Loss, Love, and Life

I’ve been through a lot lately…

Losing my dog Blueberry 🐾
My marriage going up and down
Trying to understand my emotions

But instead of staying stuck…

I’m healing,

I’m going back to therapy this week,
I’m choosing to face it, not run from it

Because this emotional healing journey is teaching me something powerful:

šŸ‘‰ Healing is a choice you make every day.

✨ Faith, Growth, and Letting Go

šŸ“– ā€œSee, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?ā€ – Isaiah 43:19

God is doing something new in me.

And I’m no longer holding onto the past.

I’m:

  • Letting go
  • Growing
  • Healing
  • Becoming

šŸ’¬ Motivational Quote

ā€œYour healing begins the moment you decide you are worth the effort.ā€

ā“ Question for My Readers

What is something new you’ve been afraid to start… but feel called to try?

šŸ™ A Moment of Reflection

God, thank You for every lesson, every person, and every moment that is shaping me.
Even when I didn’t understand it, You were working on me.
Help me continue to grow, heal, and walk in purpose.
Teach me patience, strengthen my faith, and remind me that I am becoming who You created me to be.
Amen.

My story isn’t perfect, but it’s real and I’m still standing, still growing, and still becoming.

🌼 One Last Thought Before You Go

Life is full of chapters we don’t always understand while we’re living them. But I’m learning that sometimes the most powerful stories come from the moments we thought would break us.

And if there’s one thing I’ve realized, it’s this: every season of life has a lesson waiting inside of it.

So here’s something I want you to think about today:
What is one moment in your life that changed the way you see yourself?

I would love to hear your story in the comments. Your experience might be the encouragement someone else needs today.

And if this message spoke to you, make sure you come back tomorrow… because I’ll be sharing another chapter of ā€œThe Untold Truth.ā€

Until next time,
