One Word That Describes Me
The Word That Holds My Story
There are stories we tell the world… and then there are the untold chapters. This is one of mine.
Sometimes people ask simple questions that carry deep meaning.
Questions that seem easy on the surface… but when you really think about them, they reveal a lot about who you are.
One of those questions is this:
“What is one word that describes you?”
At first, I thought about many different answers.
Strong.
Survivor.
Mother.
Writer.
Believer.
All of those words are part of my life.
But if I had to choose just one word that truly represents who I am today, the word would be:
Resilient.
Storytime: Why Resilient Describes Me
Life has a way of testing people.
Some seasons feel peaceful and calm… while other seasons feel like storms that never stop blowing.
I’ve had moments in my life where things felt heavy.
Moments where family struggles, broken relationships, and personal battles tried to shake my spirit.
There were times when I questioned myself.
Times when I wondered if I was strong enough to keep going.
But somehow… every time life knocked me down, I found a way to stand back up again.
Not perfectly.
Not without tears.
But I kept getting up.
That’s what resilience looks like.
Resilience means you bend without breaking.
It means you continue forward even when the road feels long.
And when I look back at my journey raising my kids, building my marriage with Avery, growing my garden, writing my blogs, and sharing my truth with the world I realize something powerful.
Every chapter of my life has required resilience.
Even the quiet battles nobody sees.
The Strength Found in Everyday Life
Resilience doesn’t always look dramatic.
Sometimes it’s simply choosing to keep going.
It’s waking up in the morning and deciding that today is another chance to grow.
It’s choosing faith when fear tries to creep in.
It’s choosing love even after experiencing hurt.
It’s continuing to build something beautiful even when life knocks parts of it down just like when storms hit my garden and I had to start again.
But that’s the beauty of life.
We plant again.
We grow again.
We believe again.
The Power of One Word
Words carry power.
The word you choose to describe yourself can shape how you see your own journey.
Maybe your word is:
Hopeful.
Healing.
Faithful.
Determined.
Growing.
Or maybe your word is something you’re still discovering.
And that’s okay too.
Because life isn’t about having everything figured out.
It’s about becoming.
A Bible Verse That Speaks to Resilience
Isaiah 40:31
“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not faint.”
This verse reminds me that strength doesn’t always come from within ourselves alone.
Sometimes strength comes from faith.
Motivational Quote
“She remembered who she was, and the game changed.”
Sometimes all it takes is remembering your strength.
Question for My Readers
If someone asked you this question today:
What is one word that describes you?
What would your word be?
Take a moment to think about it.

One Last Thought Before You Go
Life is full of chapters we don’t always understand while we’re living them. But I’m learning that sometimes the most powerful stories come from the moments we thought would break us.
And if there’s one thing I’ve realized, it’s this: every season of life has a lesson waiting inside of it.
So here’s something I want you to think about today:
What is one moment in your life that changed the way you see yourself?
I would love to hear your story in the comments. Your experience might be the encouragement someone else needs today.
And if this message spoke to you, make sure you come back tomorrow… because I’ll be sharing another chapter of “The Untold Truth.”
Until next time,
A Moment of Reflection
Take a deep breath for a moment.
Think about the journey God has brought you through.
The storms you survived.
The lessons you learned.
The strength you didn’t know you had.
Remember this:
You are still here.
You are still growing.
And your story is still being written.
Let today be a reminder that no matter what life brings, faith and resilience will always guide the way.
