There are stories we tell the world… and then there are the untold chapters. This is one of mine, a chapter about finding yourself again.

For a long time, I felt like I lost pieces of myself.

Life has a way of doing that. One decision here, one heartbreak there, one moment where you trust someone and they don’t value you the way you hoped they would.

Before you know it, you wake up one day and you’re staring in the mirror wondering how you even got here.

And if I’m being honest with you, I’ve had moments like that in my life.

Moments where I was just surviving.

Not really living… just surviving.

But through all of that, God was still working.

Story Time: When Family Hurt the Most

Let me tell y’all something real.

One of the hardest parts of my journey wasn’t just relationships or people outside my life. Sometimes the deepest pain came from family.

Growing up and even into adulthood, there were moments when I felt misunderstood by my own family my sisters and even my mother at times. There were situations where I felt like I had to constantly prove myself or explain who I was becoming.

And that kind of pain hits different.

Because when it’s family, you expect love, support, and understanding.

But life isn’t always that simple.

There were moments where I felt alone even when I wasn’t physically alone. Moments where I felt like I had to stand on my own two feet and figure things out without the encouragement I wished for.

And I’m not saying my family didn’t love me.

But sometimes love gets complicated.

Sometimes people carry their own wounds, their own struggles, their own misunderstandings and those things affect how they show up in your life.

There were times where I had to step back, not out of hate, but out of self-preservation.

And that was one of the hardest lessons I’ve ever had to learn.

Story Time: The Silent Nights

There were nights I laid in bed just thinking.

Thinking about the past.

Thinking about the decisions I made.

Thinking about the times I felt like I disappointed people or felt like I didn’t belong anywhere.

As a mother, those moments hit even harder.

Because when you have children, you’re not just healing for yourself anymore—you’re healing so your kids can see what strength looks like.

There were nights when I prayed quietly.

Sometimes I felt like God was listening.
Sometimes I felt like I was praying into silence.

But one thing I know now is this:

God never left.

Even in the seasons where I felt lost, He was still guiding me.

When Life Breaks and Builds You

Looking back now, I realize something powerful.

Some of the same experiences that broke me were also the experiences that built me.

The heartbreaks.

The misunderstandings.

The moments where I felt like I had to walk alone.

Every tear that hit that pillow late at night was shaping something deeper inside of me.

Even when I didn’t understand it at the time.

And maybe someone reading this needs to hear this today:

You are not your mistakes.

You may have made some decisions you wish you could change.

You may have trusted people who didn’t value you.

But that does not mean you are a mistake.

God never wastes pain.

When God Removes the Noise

Sometimes we think losing people means we failed.

But sometimes God removes certain voices so we can finally hear our own.

Not every goodbye is punishment.

Sometimes it’s protection.

Sometimes it’s preparation.

Sometimes it’s God clearing the noise so you can finally hear the person you were always meant to become.

I had to learn that the hard way.

But now I understand something deeper: the version of me that felt lost was never truly gone.

She was just buried under pain, expectations, and survival.

And slowly, piece by piece, I’m finding her again.

The Journey of Finding Myself Again

These days my life looks different.

I’m focusing on growth.

I’m writing again and sharing my heart with the world.

I’m finishing school and preparing to graduate soon.

I’m raising my children and showing them what resilience looks like.

And through all of it, I’m learning something beautiful:

You don’t find yourself by changing everything around you.

You find yourself by getting still enough to hear the voice inside of you again.

The voice that says:

You still matter.
You are still worthy.
And your story is not finished.

What I Learned

This journey has taught me something powerful.

Sometimes feeling lost doesn’t mean you’re off track.

Sometimes God is simply rerouting you back to purpose.

Every mistake becomes wisdom.

Every heartbreak becomes strength.

Every tear becomes part of the testimony.

One day you wake up and realize something amazing:

You were never truly lost.

You just forgot how powerful you were.

My Story Isn’t Perfect

My story isn’t perfect, but it’s real and I’m still standing, still growing, and still becoming.

Bible Verse

Joel 2:25 (NIV)
“I will restore to you the years that the locusts have eaten.”

Motivation Quote

“Sometimes losing people is part of finding yourself again.”
