Depression claws, I want to let it all go,

“Keep fighting,” it says, its voice gentle and kind,
But my weary heart can’t leave despair behind.

Countless times I’ve felt this way,
Lost in shadows, struggling day by day.
They preach of self-love, but demons deceive,
Making me feel like I can’t believe.

My soul drifts out, a shadow of its former grace,
How can I find my way back to that sacred place?
Without the angel’s light, I feel ensnared,
By the demon to whom my soul is bared.

Yet, deep inside, the angel persists,
A spark of hope that somehow still exists.
Though lost, my fight, my spirit seems gone,
