God Didn’t Give Me a Bitter Heart: A Poetic Chapter on Healing, Mercy & Grace

There comes a moment in every woman’s life when she looks at everything she’s survived
every betrayal, every disappointment, every silent night where she questioned her own worth
and realizes one thing:

“God never let bitterness take root in me.”

This blog is that moment.
This poem is that reminder.
And this chapter is your permission to breathe, release, and rise.

💛 The Poem: God Didn’t Give Me a Bitter Heart

God didn’t give me a bitter heart,
Though I’ve been torn and pulled apart.
He shaped me gentle, soft yet strong,
And whispered, “Daughter, keep holding on.”

I’ve tasted sorrow, swallowed pain,
Walked through betrayal, danced in rain.
But even when the nights grew cold,
God kept my spirit brave and bold.

They tried to dim the light I hold,
To harden love, to make me fold.
But God, in all His endless grace,
Put tenderness in every place.

He gave me tears that heal the soul,
A voice that breaks, but still feels whole.
He gave me peace inside the storm,
A heart that still believes, still warms.

I won’t repay hurt with more hate
That’s not the path He helped me take.
Instead, I rise, I smile, I bend,
I love, I grow, I still defend.

For bitterness don’t live in me,
My soul was built to still be free.
I carry light, I carry truth,
And walk in grace through all my youth.

So if you ask me why I shine,
It’s ’cause His mercy’s truly mine.
No bitter root, no hardened part
God didn’t give me a bitter heart.

Motivation of the Day

You are not defined by what tried to break you.
You are defined by what couldn’t.

Every time you choose peace over revenge, grace over anger, and healing over hardness,
you are proving one thing:

God knew exactly what He was doing when He made your heart soft.
Soft is not weak — soft is divine strength wrapped in tenderness.

Bible Verse

Ezekiel 36:26 (NIV)
“I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.”

A reminder that God restores, renews, and softens — even after life has tried to make us cold.

What I Learned

I learned that healing doesn’t always roar sometimes it whispers.
I learned that God doesn’t harden me because the world has hurt me.
And I learned that a soft heart is not a curse, but a calling.
