Some days, you don’t even realize how far you’ve come until you pause, breathe, and look back at the woman standing in your reflection. Today… I chose to honor her. To love her. To celebrate her.

So I wrote this poem for every woman every survivor who forgot that she is allowed to clap for herself, even when no one else does.

I celebrate the woman I’ve become,
Not just the battles, but the victories won.
The scars I carry are proof I survived,
Through storms and fire, I’m still alive.

I celebrate the smile I wear each day,
The strength within that won’t fade away.
I honor my journey, the highs and the lows,
The love in my spirit that endlessly grows.

I celebrate the voice that speaks my truth,
The wisdom I’ve gained since my days of youth.
I dance in the light of all I’ve achieved,
And give myself credit for what I’ve believed.

🌿 Why I Wrote This Poem

I wrote this poem because sometimes we forget to slow down and honor the woman we had to fight to become. We clap for others but whisper over our own growth. This poem is my reminder and yours that survival is worth celebrating. Healing is worth celebrating. YOU are worth celebrating. Every scar, every lesson, every quiet victory deserves a moment of praise.
