Let me take you into a real moment from my life, straight from the heart. Sharing this moment is a powerful testimony to how Thanksgiving brought healing into my life.
✨ A Thanksgiving Testimony, A Locked Door & A Whole Lot of Grace
On Thanksgiving it was a mix of healing, chaos, testimony, cravings, and family moments that reminded me why I’m grateful.
My family and I went to the church across the street the one we just joined and it felt peaceful and warm. It was Avery’s first time singing, and even though the preacher put him on the spot, he sang beautifully. I was so proud of him.
But my moment came right after.
For months, the preacher has been asking the congregation to share their testimonies., For months, I sat quietly. For months, I held mine inside.
But thanksgiving?
God said, “Speak.”
And I stood up.
✨ A Whole Lot of Grace
My voice was shaking, but I told my story from surviving lupus, going from nine pills a day to none, from having lupus in my body to being healed. This testimony became a powerful account of Thanksgiving healing for me.
When I finished, the church clapped.
And I felt FREE.
That moment wasn’t about the crowd it was about timing, obedience, and release.
Then… life got real.
After church, I told my son Rayshawn to grab my DoorDash order my Kroger cookies, Avery’s cranberry sauce, and my apple juice. Y’all know how women get when our period comes… chocolate, cookies, ice cream, everything.
Plus, thanksgiving was my last day eating meat. I’m going back to my healthy journey full-on. Beans, veggies, fruits all that. Avery may not join me, but he respects it.
But as soon as we walked up to the house?
We were locked out.
Rayshawn left the key in the kitchen.
On Thanksgiving.
Avery opened a window, and my son had to climb through. I was so cold and frustrated I literally pushed him through LOL to speed it up because yall the cold and I do NOT get along.
Once we got inside, the mood shifted again peace.
We ate laughed.
played chess a game Avery taught me after teaching me checkers.
Rayshawn tried to beat me, but he’ll get another chance today.
In the end, it was a good day full of testimony, family, growth, and gratitude. Sharing such a testimony emphasized Thanksgiving healing through family and love.
This is my unfiltered truth… my real life.
✨ Motivation of the Day
Sometimes the testimony you’re scared to share…
is the one someone else is praying to hear.
Speak your truth your healing might become someone’s hope.
✨ Bible Verse
Revelation 12:11 (KJV)
“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony…”
✨ What I Learned
I learned that timing is everything. God didn’t need me to be ready He needed me to be obedient. And when I finally spoke, I realized healing becomes real when you stop hiding your story. Thanksgiving testimonies allow for healing experiences to be shared with others.
